Teaching Experience

Curriculum Developer and Teacher, ‘Iolani School, Honolulu, HI
8/2013 - present
Responsible for developing and teaching 'Iolani School's first Film Production curriculum for Upper School students. The project-based program takes students through the entire production process, from story conceptualization and storyboarding to post-production on Final Cut Pro. Created and taught three 5-week-long media classes for ‘Iolani’ School’s upper school summer program: “Media with a Message”(2009), “Creative Adventures in Filmmaking” (2010), and “Filmmaking for Impact” (2011).

8/2002 – 3/2005 
Taught English and literature to grades 7–12 at an international private school in Singapore. Co-developed and taught a current affairs/critical thinking course for grades 9 and 10, which became a part of the core curriculum after its pilot year.

Intern for a non-profit organization providing drama education in public schools in Hawaii. Taught theatre skills to students at Farrington High School. Collaborated with a team of coaches to create lesson plans, direct productions, and handle students’ issues.
